Create a Resume / Cover Letter

Resumes and cover letters are two professional documents you need for a job search. A resume lists your qualifications, and a cover letter supplements your resume and tries to convince the reader that you are the best candidate for the position.

Resume is a summary of your career, showcasing jobs you’ve held and currently hold, skills you’ve developed, and qualities you have to offer. These components make it easier for an employer to see your qualifications and fit for the role. They are typically one page long or two, depending on specific circumstances.

Cover letter is a business letter that expands on your experience and accomplishments, showcasing your interest in the position, highlighting your unique qualities, and allowing you to ask for an interview.

The goal of designing a resume and cover letter is to land an interview. Both need to be concise, error-free, and professional. While you can send the same resume to most employers, creating a specific cover letter for each job is strongly recommended.
