The National Society of Black Women in Medicine is committed to consistently inspiring and supporting black women to pursue their passion for health. Our organization seeks to provide a place where its members can form a community enriched with education, support, and encouragement. Our ultimate goal is to cultivate a culture of benevolence and collaboration to shed light on the key issues black women face as they make their way through their individual medical professions while improving the lives of black female patients. It is crucial for us to work to eradicate prejudicial practices, educate all on the disparities affecting black women, and improve the way black women are treated in the healthcare industry. This will be accomplished by dismantling the systems that depreciate the lives of black women and raising funds to better support black women in these positions.
