Aligned with Chancellor King’s goal for every undergraduate student to have the opportunity to participate in an internship before they graduate, the SUNY System Administration Office of Research, Innovation and Economic Development is seeking a student intern to develop data-driven applications to support the operations of the research office staff. Under the mentorship and direction of the Director of Data Innovation Strategy, the student intern will learn best practices for applying their education in computer science (or related discipline) to solving real-word problems and in the process make a substantive and meaningful contribution to the SUNY research enterprise.
Requirements:
A successful intern will:
- Be a current full-time undergraduate student enrolled at a SUNY campus
- Have knowledge of and experience coding in one or more programming languages
- Be willing to experiment and learn new skills
- Be a good communicator
Knowledge of data science and/or experience with open source software are highly desired.
Additional Information:
Salary: The rate for this position is $14.20/hour.
Hours & Duration: 20 hours per week, through May 2024
