Are you a passionate, dedicated individual with a keen interest in local journalism? The Brooklyn Paper team is looking for a motivated intern to join us on a flexible basis. As an intern, you’ll have the opportunity to craft 1-2 stories per week, collaborate with our digital and social team on fun videos, gain valuable experience while balancing your schedule effectively.
Our ideal candidate will have a micro-local mindset and will be tasked with covering news, community meetings, and events in Brooklyn. You’ll be responsible for diving into a variety of topics, including crime, government affairs, human interest stories, business updates, and real estate developments.
We’re seeking someone who is ambitious, loves storytelling, and possesses excellent communication, reading, and writing skills. While previous experience or studies in journalism, history, communications, or English are preferred, we welcome applicants from all backgrounds and in all years of school. his internship offers the flexibility to work around your schedule, with the possibility of remote and on-site work.
