Minimum Qualifications
- College coursework completed toward a degree in media arts, production management, creative advertising, or a related field
- Foundational understanding of project management principles, such as production timelines and rudimentary budget preparation
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Strong, clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
- Forward thinking in order to anticipate and mitigate potential roadblocks and strong creative thinking skills to develop on-the-fly solutions when issues arise
- Strong time management skills and willingness to self-motivate
- Occasional flexibility to work outside business hours including evenings and weekends based on production schedules and events
- Passion for seeking out new growth opportunities by being willing to learn from their mistakes, question their immediate assumptions, and challenge oneself by leaving their own comfort zone
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on marketing concepts, campaigns or projects
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with Microsoft Office’s Outlook, Teams, and Project applications
Job Summary
Interns at the Rock Family of Companies gain priceless hands-on experience. Here, you’ll learn how it feels to be in the workplace, participate in events and become a valuable member of our team. As a Production Intern, you’ll be a facilitator who assists in the creative logistics surrounding the pre-production, production and post-production phases of marketing campaigns. As a valued team member, you will be deeply integrated into current marketing initiatives over the course of the summer where you will learn best practices by not only observing the production team but doing work that will make a meaningful impact within the larger marketing team.
Responsibilities
- Learn about our business by attending meetings, huddles and trainings
- Share creative ideas that will help improve our business
- Deliver reports, analyze metrics and summarize information to help drive our team forward
- Assist in creating materials and/or presentations for meetings
- Take notes during meetings and provide recaps
- Collaborate with fellow team members to assist in managing production projects from creative briefing through final delivery and project close-out
- Participate in team meetings, leadership presentations, and other project-related communications while contributing with their own creative insights
- Hone their organizational skills by performing general and business affair related administrative duties to support the Production team’s progress
- Multitask as they coordinate the cross-functional teams’ needs across multiple projects and manage the distinct production timelines in an innovative environment
- Shadow team members in multiple areas and disciplines to learn about marketing campaigns
- Develop a growth plan and reflect on professional development with their mentor throughout the summer
