Maximus is currently hiring for a Case Management Supervisor to support the OPWDD CANS project. The incumbent must possess a diverse set of skills to excel in the role. About the Program- Office of People with Developmental Disabilities—Children and Adolescent Needs and Strengths Assessment Services
Maximus conducts conflict-free assessments of children and youth aged 6-17 who have intellectual and development disabilities on behalf of the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). Maximus Assessors use the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) comprehensive assessment tool to identify the strengths, interests, and needs of these children and youth, information which assists Care Coordination Organizations (CCO) in their person-centered care planning.<br />Essential Duties and Responsibilities: – Ensure contractual obligations are met by identifying, recommending, and/or developing quality improvement strategies through the evaluation of staff performance standards and project performance measures. – Identify training needs and development opportunities for subordinates. – Develop work schedules and assign duties to subordinates to ensure efficiency. – Discuss job performance concerns with subordinates to identify causes and
issues and work closely with the Human Resources department on resolving problems. – Participate in the work of subordinates to facilitate productivity or to overcome difficult aspects of work. – Evaluate subordinates’ job performance and recommend appropriate personnel action. – Ensure compliance with company Wage & Hour policy, including ensuring non-exempt employees get the rest & meal breaks. – Comply with all company required policies, procedures and processes including but not limited to required training. – Evaluate systems and data to improve quality control and process improvements. – Conduct process improvement utilizing project reports. – Report issues, problems and concerns to management. – Perform other duties as may be assigned by management. Minimum Requirements: – Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. – Ability to work with customers in a

* Responsible for the training and development of Assessors
* Monitor the activities, schedules and assessment results of an assigned group of Assessors
* Responsible for monitoring productivity levels and ensuring assessors are meeting minimum requirements for assessments scheduled and completed
* Review assessment outcomes of the assigned Assessors in real-time
* Review QA audits/complaint investigations with assigned Assessors
* Collect QA information from assigned Assessors
* Disseminate policy, protocol change, and ensure implementation
* Lead regular team meetings and act as the point-person for the region Assessors
* Conduct random post-assessment audits
* Promote project image and goals through conversation with Care Coordination Organization (CCO) Partners
* Meet all standards established for this position as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template for this position

BA degree in a health or human services field required
*
Two years of experience leading teams, providing training and oversight in a directly related setting required

Minimum of two years of experience working in community settings involving health and human services required
*
Experience working with constituent groups required
*
1 year of direct working experience with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities required

Computer literacy; highly developed written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a stressful and changing environment; and proven ability to work with community groups
