Responsibilities
The ideal student will work on cutting-edge efforts for US Government and commercial customers as well as internal projects. We work on exciting and diverse projects in a wide range of fields including data-intelligence, voice recognition, medicine, genomics, speech, and other signals. We develop tools spanning data science, big data, and machine learning domains for government and commercial customers. Our projects range from basic research to deployed systems, for commercial customers to government entities working on the most pressing national security problems of our time. The ideal candidate is an assertive self-starter, excited to learn, and have an important role on the team. Looking for summer 2024.
Specific areas interest include:
- ML and statistical model development and analysis for predictive maintenance
- High throughput ML analysis of protein structure and shape using cloud resources
- Data science, software, and UI development for a soldier readiness platform
- Data Science and algorithm development for predicting mental health status
Qualifications
- Position is full time and can be remote or in Cambridge, MA or Reston, VA
- Classes and projects using computational modeling and/or machine learning, algorithm development, data analytics
- B.S. (in progress) in computer science, machine learning, statistics, electrical engineering, computational biology, physics, or related field.
- Creative individual, team player, self-starter
- Scientific thinking and the ability to invent, demonstration of thought leadership
- Solid programming experience (e.g., Python, Matlab, Java)
- Good written and spoken communication skills.
