What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $90,000 – $115,000/year. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which includes but is not limited to:

Location
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to work three (3) days in office at Denver International Airport. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.
What You’ll Do
DEN’s Airline & Commercial Affairs Division is currently seeking a Senior Manager of Air Service Research and Analytics to join our team! The individual in this position will be responsible for analyzing and reporting aviation industry data and related trends, leveraging and employing data software and related tools to retain existing and expand DEN’s air service.
Specifically, as the Senior Manager of Air Service Research and Analytics, you will:
- Lead the collection, tracking and analysis of aviation data (e.g., airline schedules, passenger demand data, etc.)
- Prepare analysis of aviation/air service data, including the development of PowerPoint slides and Power BI dashboards, for various target audiences, including internal and external stakeholders
- Produce, update and distribute air service reports and maps
- Support the development of air service business cases to retain and recruit air service, including conducting primary research, evaluating and recommending new and innovative data sources and analytical tools
- Produce and distribute passenger traffic forecasts
- Maintain timely and accurate reporting of air service data (e.g., air service information on DEN website)
- Support the air service milestone events (e.g., inaugurals, anniversaries)
- Monitor aviation industry news that impacts air service at DEN
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:
- Three or more years’ experience in air service development including passenger and cargo services
- Experience with air transportation data collection and reporting standards
- Experience with the following data sets: Airline Schedules (Innovata Schedules and/or OAG); U.S. Department of Transportation datasets (T100, DB1B and Form 41); and International Passenger Demand (e.g., Sabre/MIDT and FMTraffic)
- Experience with air carrier operating models, route structures and alliances
- Ability to research, synthesize and present complex data
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and data analytics/visualization tools (DEN uses Power BI)
- Global aviation industry knowledge
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of professional experience conducting complex analysis on a variety of issues as needed in retail, food and beverage, commercial property, car rental, parking and ground transportation businesses, airline affairs, or a related industry.
- Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements.
- Licenses/Certifications: Requires a valid Driver’s License at the time of application; licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment

- FBI Background Check: FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.
- Snow/Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
