The SUNY System Administration Technology Intern will be responsible for providing specialized and value-added networking, database, and user services to the entire State University Systems and U-Wide business applications
Our intern will be assigned tasks that are geared towards enhancing our local network and the networks of our customers, voice service administration, management of various support-related servers, asset management, and end-user technology implementations.
These tasks may include:
- Network redesign
- IPS/IDS configuration and review
- Asset Management
- Researching vulnerabilities
- MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) deployments
- Device Imaging and deployment
- Endpoint Security configuration and review
Requirements:
A successful intern will:
- Be a current undergraduate full-time enrollment at a SUNY campus·
- Have a basic understanding of computer networking concepts
- Be familiar with Microsoft operating systems and Office suites
- Have a basic understanding of server, VoIP, and networking concepts
- Be passionate and driven to engage our customers and offer unique solutions
- Have an openness to new ways of thinking and acquiring new skills to retain a competitive advantage
