The Michigan Department of Treasury’s Tax Compliance Bureau has many field auditor positions available. No experience is required and on the job training will be provided! Applicants will need at least 24 credits in Accounting to qualify.
Field Tax Auditors are responsible for conducting professional audit examinations on behalf of the department. They help taxpayers determine if all returns have been filed appropriately and proper tax liability amounts remitted. Travel at least 40% of the time is required to engage with taxpayers.
This position is a combination of audits conducted at taxpayers, in—office work at an assigned physical location and remote work from home. Tax Compliance Bureau is recruiting for the following locations:
