About Our Program

Our Management Trainee Program is designed to equip you for a successful career in the SAAS industry by giving you real exposure to clients right at the start of your career and preparing you for leadership responsibility in our Greater China team.

It is a structured program with a clear career path from entry level through to management. We strongly believe in promoting from within and this program is how we build our leadership team for the long run.

We focus on developing people quickly from individual contributor to leadership and your rate of progression is determined by your own pace of learning and development.

What do we offer?

Ÿ Meltwater University – You will receive comprehensive training on our principles, values, products, sales methodology and industry specific knowledge through classroom, on the job training and online learning

Ÿ Sponsorship from Meltwater leadership team – You will have access to senior leadership both on a local and regional level. We pride ourselves on a flat hierarchy and our leadership will be available to you.

Ÿ Regular goal setting and feedback session – You will receive regular support from your manager who will act as your mentor, providing regular feedback and coaching as your progress through the program.

Stages of the Program

At each stage of the program, you will be making a real impact on our business by contributing directly to the growth and development of our client base. As you progress through the program, you’ll also be directly responsible for developing and nurturing talent for the business

Phase 1: Sales Consultant (Duration 1-12 Months)

Key Learning: How to identify strong prospects and setting meetings

Learn business value of online media & Meltwater sales methodology. Well train to handle b2b software sales cycle from generating leads, prospecting, demonstrating our business values to senior business leaders/ C-level executives.

Phase 2: Sr. Sales Consultant (Duration 12-24 Months)

Key Learning: Through leading your own sales pipe, you’ll learn the full sales cycle from initial call through to client & onboarding.

Further develop skills to handle full cycle b2b software sales, especially engaging and demonstrating our business values to senior business leaders/ C-level executives, subscribing new customers to the solution and working across teams to onboard new clients.

Phase 3: Sales Leader (Duration 12-24 Months)

Key Learning: How to motivate and teach a team of 1-2 consultants, managing team targets.

Lead a team of consultants to bring the best business values to the new clients, focus on people development and inspire the next generation of manager-to-be.

What We’re Looking For:

Ÿ A minimum Bachelor’s degree in any subject with evidence of high achievement in academics and extracurricular activities.

Ÿ Work experience in any client facing roles would be a big plus

Ÿ Fluent in written and spoken English & Mandarin

Ÿ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ÿ Team player mentality with the ability to work independently toward lofty goals

Ÿ Well rounded with varied interests, background and proven leadership experience

Ÿ Passionate about entrepreneurship and business

Ÿ Have strong interest in news and current affairs

Ÿ A quick learner that open to feedback and dedicate to consistent self-improvement
