TELECOMMUTING INFORMATION: Initially positions work full-time in the office and a hybrid telecommuting schedule of up to 50% remote work can be discussed with the hiring manager during the interview.
*NOTE: Qualifying candidates must be available to work part-time through the end of the current semester and full-time, 37.5 hours per week once the current semester ends. It is anticipated that candidates will begin full-time employment mid to late May.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled in a higher education institution, pursuing a degree in Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with testing applications or application development.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and WebEx.
DUTIES DESCRIPTION:
- Review of business documentation (such as mockups, business requirements, field analysis, etc.) that is developed by the Business Analysists in conjunction with the end user agency
- Writing of test cases based upon business documentation
- Execution of test cases during scheduled QA system testing, in addition to ad-hoc testing
- Reporting defects found during system testing in the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) defect management and testing tool
- Working with Developers and Business Analysts to clarify issues found towards the goal of resolving the issues
- Re-testing of fixed issues after new code is deployed
- Regression testing after new builds are deployed
- Learning how to create, update, and execute automation regression test scripts utilizing VB Script within the Unified Functional Testing tool
- Learning how to create, update, and execute performance test scripts utilizing LoadRunner
- Attendance at scrums, meetings, and stand-up calls with developers, business analysts, project managers, and the end user agency
- Additional duties as assigned.
