Calling all passionate and energetic native and like-native speakers!
Summary:
We are looking for passionate and energetic native speakers who would like to share their language and culture. By joining us at the Global Language Network as a Teaching Fellow, you will be on the forefront of delivering affordable language classes with the mission of using language as a tool to help fix our world. Our classes are in-person (Washington, DC) and online (Zoom) so we are accepting applications from everywhere in the world!
Essential Duties:
– Prepare and deliver daily lesson plans
– Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
– Provide a variety of learning materials for use in educational activities
– Observe and evaluate student’s performance and development
– Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development
– Manage student behavior in the classroom
Scheduling:
– 2-hour class sessions once a week
– Class time will range at any time between 5:30 to 9:30 pm EST on weekdays and 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on Sundays.
– Choose between 6-week or 12-week semesters, but we are sure that you will want to stay longer than that!
Requirements:
– Fluency in the language you will be teaching
– Willing to dedicate 2-3 hours a week
– Consistent access to computer with reliable internet
– A computer with a camera or a webcam
– Enjoy sharing your language and culture with others
– A positive attitude!
