If you are interested in gaining experience in the behavioral health field, we have the perfect position for you! Our Acute Stabilization Unit in Providence is looking for a Behavioral Health Worker (BHW). The BHW role is dynamic, fast-paced, and team-oriented: you will collaborate with and receive supervision and training from nurses, counselors, case managers, and prescribers. You will ensure client safety and satisfaction. This is a front-line position with a high degree of client interaction, from admissions to safety checks to recreational and therapeutic activities. Our innovative, holistic, trauma-informed inpatient program for substance use and mental health disorders, located in the heart of Providence, is the first of its kind. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn. Must be willing to promote client recovery, understand the impact of trauma, prioritize client safety, and respond to client emergencies or crises with support. Appropriate professional boundaries and excellent communication skills a must. Flexible schedules available: can discuss upon interview.
Education/Licensing Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. CNA, associate degree in human services-related field, or attending school for same preferred; can substitute with 2 years’ experience in a healthcare setting.
