As a Departmental Grader your responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
- Grading Assignments: Evaluate student assignments for designated courses, ensuring fairness and accuracy in grading.
- Student Interaction: Assist students with inquiries regarding their grades, offering clear explanations and guidance. If unable to resolve issues, direct students to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaboration with Faculty: Work closely with course instructors and teaching assistants to remain informed about current course content and any changes to the curriculum.
- Academic Calendar Adherence: Follow the academic calendar, with no expectation to work during university-wide breaks, reading days, or final exam weeks.
- Timesheet Compliance: Adhere to the guidelines for the timesheet process as detailed in separate communications.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Enrollment in or completion of a relevant academic program within the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, preferably with a focus on Computer Science. Must have at least 9-12 credits of CS MS coursework completed with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
