Still Looking for a Summer Experience? You’re Not Alone.

If you haven’t secured a summer job or internship yet, take a deep breath—you’re not alone. Many college students are still exploring opportunities well into the spring semester, and there are still plenty of ways to make the most of your summer.

One great option is attending our Summer Job Fair, where you can meet employers who are actively looking to hire students for summer roles, internships, and seasonal opportunities. A quick conversation could lead to an interview—or even an offer.

But a job fair is just one pathway to gaining valuable summer experience.

You can also consider:

  • Part-time or seasonal jobs that help you build transferable skills like teamwork, communication, and customer service
  • Volunteering with community organizations or nonprofits
  • Short-term projects or freelance work that help you build your portfolio
  • Research opportunities with faculty
  • Skill-building experiences like certifications, workshops, or personal projects related to your career interests

Your summer doesn’t have to be perfect—it just needs to help you learn, grow, and gain experience.

If you want help searching for something this summer, reach out to the Career and Professional Development office or make an appointment.
