Please describe the experiences that have made you a Career Ready Great Dane:
My internship with the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has been vital in preparing me for my future. I work directly with federal employees (e.g. special agents, computer forensic examiners) on drug enforcement and money laundering investigations, which has provided me with firsthand exposure to law enforcement work. I have applied what I’ve learned through my academic studies to DEA investigations, allowing me to contribute different insights and perspectives. I am grateful to work with the DEA’s Albany Division and plan to continue on this path after graduation.
Advice for other Great Danes: Never let the thought of “What if…” stop you from reaching out for help or applying to something. Many people are worried about rejection and don’t put themselves out there, but in most cases, the worst that can happen is being told “no.” You have nothing to lose but much to gain. Use all of your resources and give yourself every possible advantage because your future depends on you.
