Pursuing your dreams always takes resilience and dedication, but once they come true, every effort is worth it. That’s how I felt when I landed my internship at Regeneron, a company I had long dreamed of joining. During my summer internship, I had the chance to apply the technical skills I had been learning in the classroom to real-world projects. IT jobs are often perceived abstract, but I quickly realized how impactful it could be in the biotech industry where every innovation has meaning for patients’ lives. Beyond technical growth, I developed communication, networking, and project management skills while learning to solve problems creatively and collaborate effectively. This experience strengthened me personally and professionally and will continue to guide my career.
Advice for other Great Danes: Follow your dreams no matter what others say. Believe in your abilities, stay confident in the skills you bring, and remember the sky is the limit when you work hard and stay dedicated. Learn from your mistakes and perceive every experience as a chance to improve. Take time to enjoy and celebrate your successes!
