Please describe the experiences that have made you a Career Ready Great Dane:
I am currently an intern at Games for Love, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children in hospitals through the power of gaming. The company works with game developers to provide educational and therapeutic games that help with the emotional well-being of patients. In this internship, I am applying programming skills such as C# and Unity. In addition to my internship, I’ve had a successful academic year while juggling a club sport and a part-time job.
Advice for other Great Danes: Ask for help! Transitioning from school into the work world is a very scary process. I am still figuring it out but it’s something everyone has gone through. Ask professors, classmates, peers for help and advice. Something my professor told me was to use LinkedIn on a daily basis and to check it frequently, this advice definitely helped due to all of the helpful resources and people that we interact with on LinkedIn.
