Please describe the experiences that have made you a Career Ready Great Dane:

My time at UAlbany has been full of experiences that have helped me grow both personally and professionally. Since my sophomore year, I’ve been involved in ACS, Flag Football and Circle K. I started out just wanting to be part of a community but ended up finding leadership opportunities that pushed me to grow. Serving on the executive board and now as President of Circle K has taught me how to work with a team, plan events, and stay organized while still focusing on giving back to others. Moreover, this summer, I was a Patient Care Assistant at Albany Med which was an eye-opening experience. I learned what it truly means to support patients, work alongside healthcare professionals, and stay calm under pressure. It also gave me a clearer sense of what I want to do next – pursue dental school and continue combining my interest in healthcare with my passion for helping people.

Advice for other Great Danes: Do not be afraid to try new things, even if they feel a little scary at first. Some of my best experiences came from saying “yes” to opportunities I wasn’t sure I was ready for – like joining a club, running for a leadership role, or applying for a job that felt like a stretch.
