I post events I’ve attended, accomplishments and working experiences. Doing this has gotten me internship offers in my field.
Advice for other Great Danes: The value you put into LinkedIn will grant you the same value you receive. Reach out to people at companies you’re interested in. By sending a professional but enthusiastic email, it tells the company a lot about you (goal orientated, tenacious, leader). Be proactive when looking for internships! Experiences in and outside of your intended field can be useful — diversify yourself. Try different things and see what sticks. You will be collecting various skills that’ll make you stand out from everyone else.
