Transferring to UAlbany from Hudson Valley Community College was a turning point in my life. At HVCC, I built a foundation through both academic achievement and direct service, helping students and faculty every day. But here at UAlbany, I’ve grown into someone who not only supports others — I lead, advocate, and uplift.
As an Informatics major, I’ve gained hands-on experience in IT, systems thinking, and data analysis, while also learning how to be a stronger communicator and collaborator. I’ve become a voice for equity and inclusion, particularly for immigrant and first-generation students — because I’ve lived that journey.
And this is just the beginning. I’m proud to share that I’ve been accepted into UAlbany’s MS in Information Science – Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics program starting this Fall 2025. It’s a dream I’ve worked hard for — and more than that, it’s a message to my children and the students I serve: that anything is possible with dedication, resilience, and belief in your own potential.
Advice for other Great Danes: Opportunities aren’t given, they’re created. Network boldly, embrace challenges, and never stop learning. Rejections are redirections—stay persistent, seek mentors, and advocate for your worth. Success follows resilience and continuous growth.
